Violet Parkinson (b. 30 Oct 1999) is the daughter of Pansy Parkinson and Draco Malfoy. She attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from 2009 to 2016.
On the first of September in 2009, she and her mother were confronted by Lee Jordan on Platform 9¾ at King's Cross, but Harry Potter interceded on their behalf. Later, she befriended Kai Chang, Teddy Lupin and Dewey Diggory aboard the Hogwarts Express. The four agreed to remain friends through their schooling regardless of which Houses they joined.
Violet partook in the infamous Sorting of 2009, and was placed in Slytherin. In the House sorting of Slytherin's Choice, she drew a violet amythest gemstone, and consequently roomed with Nagaeena Indrani, Decima Caul, and Bernice Selwyn. On the night of her birthday, she was invited to the Room of Requirement on the seventh floor by Lupin; on her way there, she was attacked by Roger Drocker and two other Gryffindors and was Spellotaped, upside-down to expose her underwear, to the Slytherin points-hourglass in the Great Hall.
In January of 2010, she was instrumental in the reorganizaiton of the D.A., and reconciled with Chloe Grey – who had informed Drocker of Parkinson's whereabouts on 30 October – at the first meeting after a tense confrontation with the Slytherin girls. She and Mercy Burbage later helped Lupin draft a letter of protest, signed by twenty-two D.A. members, which was sent to and subsequently printed by the Daily Prophet and the Quibbler.
