The Streeler is a small venomous snake with a white spot on its head, their venom can kill Horklumps. As a result, its venom is often used as a herbicide for clearing out horklumps. It wipes out entire colonies by being absorbed by their mycelium.

Streelers because of their distinctive white spots are often mistaken for baby Basilisks. To tell the difference one must use a Pungi, Streelers being ordinary snakes will be attracted to the sound, Basilisks consider themselves above other lizards and refuse to obey humans except Parselmouths.
