Sarah Valerian (born 21 August 1972) was a witch who attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from 1984-1991 and was sorted into Ravenclaw House. During her time at the school she became close friends with Charlie Weasley, Conor Carlisle, and Nymphadora Tonks. In her fifth year she was made prefect of Ravenclaw House.
Following her graduation from Hogwarts Sarah became a healer a t St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries, where she specialized in the application of magical plants to heal injuries.
After reports circulated that Lord Voldemort had returned to power she, like many wizards and witches at the time, denied the rumors. However, once The Dark Lord publicly revealed himself she decided that she needed to do something to help the resistance against him and joined The Order of The Phoenix.
During The Second Wizarding War Sarah spent most of her time healing those who had been wounded in skirmishes with Death Eaters and eventually helped to smuggle muggle-borns out of Britain so they could avoid persecution following Lord Voldemort's coup against The Ministry of Magic. She later went on to participate in The Battle of Hogwarts.
Following the defeat of Lord Voldemort she retired from working at St. Mungo's and accepted a teaching position at Hogwarts, where she shared the position of Herbology professor with Neville Longbottom. She also married a muggle man
