Favio Proximus was a spell invented by Eileen Prince to send a witch or wizard to the past without the use of a time-turner, requiring a single quick upward flick of a wand. The spell sent a flash of reddish-blue energy to both the caster and/or the object closest to him/her. She taught the spell to her father and brother, who used it multiple times in self-defense.
Like the Unforgivables, the spell required intense concentration from the caster. If the spell was cast half-heartedly there was a splinching risk.
