After graduating, he was employed by Gringotts Wizarding Bank's Egyptian branch as a Curse-Breaker. He moved back to England for a time until the fallout from Percy's departure from the Burrow and revelation of his family's treatment of him proved too much and moved to Egypt in self-exile to cope with his guilt, cutting off all ties with the rest of his family. During his time as a Curse-Breaker, Bill has been in many dangerous situations and has been awarded the Order of Horus by the Egyptian Ministry for the rescue of six wizard tourists who were trapped in an Egyptian temple by an old magical trap. In 2004, he encountered a Chimera guarding a pile of gold inside an underground Egyptian temple, and suffered significant facial scarring to the left side of his face in the ensuing fray.
After three years of highly publicized romance, Bill married Rawya Zaghloul, Seeker for the Egyptian National Quidditch team, on 5 June 2005. With her he had three children, Isis Cleopatra (b. 2007), Nenet Sekhet (b. 2008), and Osiris Tertius Weasley (b. 2011) and became the stepfather of Rawya's daughter, Evie.
