Lord Bastila Shan was a Human female Jedi Padawan turned Sith apprentice and Lord during the Old Sith Wars. Born of the planet Talravin, Bastila would join the Jedi Order at a young age, becoming a strong Force-user who was famously known due to her use of a rare technique known as Battle Meditation.
She was the Jedi chosen to lead the strike team that had been sent to capture the Dark Lord of the Sith Revan, but due to Malak's betrayal, the Sith Lord became badly wounded, and so she brought Revan to the Jedi Council, who proceeded to reprogram Revan's mind.
Later, she would join the amnesiac Sith Lord in a quest to discover the origin of the Sith Armada, the Star Forge, and during the voyage both she and Revan began to develop romantic feelings for each other. She would be captured by Darth Malak, after he revealed to Revan his true identity. She was converted to the dark side by Malak, but would ultimately betray her Sith Master to become the apprentice of the reborn Darth Revan. After Malak's defeat, both he and Bastila married, and while hiding in Ziost during the Dark Wars, Bastila would give birth to hers and Revan's son Vaner.
