- "Evil is a cancer that has been infecting our world since the beginning of time. There are always those that think power justifies cruelty and there will always be those who follow them. Such evil tries to intimidate and conquer, through brute force or guile. And there must always be those who stand against that evil - or everything we hold dear is lost."
- —Audrey Galland.
Audrey Elizabeth Grey (née Galland) (b. December 20th, 1977) was a Half-blood witch and the daughter of Joseph and Antonia Galland. She attended Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, starting there in 1989. A contemporary of Fleur Delacour, she, like the rest of her school, journeyed to Hogwarts for the Triwizard Tournament. She was one of many to enter her name into the Goblet of Fire, but was not chosen.
After graduating from Beauxbatons, she took an internship with the French Ministry of Magic, during this time getting romantically involved with Simon Grey, whom she met prior during the 1994 Quidditch World Cup and the Triwizard Tournament. She moved to the United Kingdom, living in a flat in London with Simon. The two became engaged and she, like her fiancee, were among the many that returned to fight against Lord Voldemort during the Battle of Hogwarts.
After the Second Wizarding War, she and Simon married and had two children. She took a post in the Ministry of Magic's Department of International Magical Cooperation, often being called upon as a liason between the British and French Ministries.
Audrey was described as being a very attractive woman. She was slim and tall, carrying herself with an elegance and grace that gave off the impression of aristocracy. She was described as having a ballerina-like bearing and build. She had black hair, usually worn short in a pixie cut style, and light brown eyes, with prominent cheekbones. Many remarked that she appeared statuesque in her beauty.
Audrey preferred high-end, showy clothing. During her time at Beauxbatons, she wore the customary uniform and robes. She wore simple pearl earrings and very light makeup. Due to her profession, her career wardrobe was very varied: she often wore attire in the style of the home country of the delegates she interacted with or received. Otherwise, she wore curt, professional attire and robes.
She tattoos of roses on both of her ankles.
