Apparation Administration

The Apparation Administration is a division of the Office of Transportation of the Department of Magical Affairs. It is the organization responsible for licensing Apparation in the United States.

At the age of 14, American youth are offered a course on the subject though their school. At the end of the course, the students are tested for competence by an Administration official. Those who pass are awarded a license.

The Apparation Administration is also responsible for detecting any unauthorized Apparators, and arranging for their apprehension by the Office of Justice. By Department policy, any Apparation at all crossing a border into or out of the country is illegal.
