Antonius Potter, 4th Duke of Inverness (1423 - 1484) was a pure-blood wizard and the founder of the noble branch of the Potter family. He was the son of Nicholas Potter and Elizabeth Irving, the 3rd Duchess of Inverness. Antonius married a woman known as Eilidh of Appin, and had a son with her, Andrew Potter.

Antonius is the nomen of the gens Antonia, one of the most important families in ancient Rome, with both patrician and plebeian branches. It is also the source of the English personal name Anthony, as well as a number of similar names in various European languages. Marcus Antonius claimed that the gens was descended from Anton, a son of Heracles.
